Design and build your own blades from such materials as balsa wood chipboard sheets and attach them to these ¼-inch dowels with glue or tape, then test your wind turbine blades by fitting them to the KidWind Wind Turbine Hub.
These dowels, along with blade material, are the only “consumable” parts of a wind turbine blade design experiment.
The dowels are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified and are supplied by Atlas Dowel.
