A tub of aluminium fingerprinting powder as used by the British police since the 1970's. Aluminium is a low cost dusting powder that is used for general dusting situations i.e. on glass, metallic surfaces, highly varnished wooden surfaces, enamelled articles etc. The wearing of an appropriate dust respirator is recommended and especially during lengthy examinations or in confined and poorly ventilated areas. Please note over loading the brush (normally soft hair or glass fibre) should be avoided.
